The Gastec 4LT is a high-precision, glass gas detection tube capable of measuring hydrogen sulfide (H2S) concentrations from 0.05 to 4.0 ppm with a rapid color-change detection method, ideal for industrial safety and occupational health monitoring.

• Measuring Range: 0.05 to 4 ppm, divided into segments measured by specific pump strokes: 0.05-0.1 ppm (2 strokes), 0.1-2 ppm (1 stroke), and 2-4 ppm (half stroke) 


• Detection Principle: Hydrogen sulfide reacts with the tube reagent, producing an intermediate that changes the color from yellow to pink, enabling direct concentration reading on the calibrated scale printed on the tube 


• Compatible Sampling Pumps: Designed for use with Gastec GV-100 and GV-110 gas sampling pumps, which draw the gas sample through the tube by creating a vacuum 


• Sampling Method & Time: Gas is drawn through the tube in measured pump strokes; sampling times vary from about 45 seconds to 3 minutes depending on concentration range sampled 


• Material & Design: The tube is made of durable glass with a break-off tip for safe and easy sampling 


• Operating Conditions: Suitable for ambient pressure with temperature range from 32°F (0°C) to a maximum of 104°F (40°C) 


• Shelf Life: Maintains accuracy for up to 2 years when stored under recommended conditions, preferably refrigerated at or below 50°F (10°C) to maximize stability
